For SXSW, I was commissioned to create an illustration for the Whataburger Museum, a space dedicated to honoring the brand’s cultural impact. My piece highlighted the beauty of togetherness and the shared experiences that naturally unfold over Whataburger’s iconic food. Conceptually, the work drew from themes of memory, nostalgia, and community—universal touchpoints that aligned seamlessly with the brand’s identity while also resonating with festival-goers on a personal level.

The installation became more than just artwork; it served as an immersive storytelling experience. Attendees were drawn in by the vibrant visual narrative, stopping to interact with the piece and, in turn, engaging more deeply with the brand itself. By connecting the emotional weight of shared meals with the energy of SXSW, the project strengthened audience connection and reinforced Whataburger’s presence as not only a beloved food chain, but also a cultural touchstone.
